It's always fun to get an idea of what goes on in a world you know nothing about. Such is the case with me and paralegals. I never understood exactly what one was or what they did, and Liz's post proved to be very insightful. They sound as though they play a crucial role in assisting a lawyer, kind of like a nurse to a doctor, or a pharmacy technician to a pharmacist.
I didn't expect them to make quite as much, either. Upwards of $50 grand is nothing to sneeze at. I always thought it was more of a temporary type of profession, but that is something you can make a career out of.
